This web page will be for the purpose of relating to the public several important principles of the born-again-health-and-fitness website.

 

Principle 1. An Editorial Board information page specifies the authors training credentials, and information on all the authors of the medical information.

The author of born-again-health-and-fitness is Eugene Williams who holds a degree in Biological Sciences from Cal Poly State University San Luis Obispo. He’s also been a medical researcher since 1995.  He also holds a certified personal fitness trainer. 

 

Principle 2. Purpose of the website which are reasons for presenting the information and missions of the organization behind the site.

The purpose of born-again-health-and-fitness is to enhance or enlighten the public on health related issues, but not to replace information their getting from a health care provider.  The author has a mission to get out as much pertinent information about health related issues as possible. Furthermore, as a personal trainer aiding the public in obtaining their fitness goals is also a priority.  The intended audience is anyone who is concerned about developing a health related disease or has already been struck down with one already.  The audience can range from a teenager who’s concerned about diabetes, which is now afflicting kids at a staggering rate, to a man in his eighties who can’t get out of bed because his arthritis is so bad.  Also, “ The information provided on www.born-again-health-and-fitness.com is designed to support, not replace, the relationship that exists between a patient/site visitor and his/her physician.

 

Principle 3. Confidentiality-this is where confidential, private or semi-private information such as email addresses and the content of emails received are treated. Also, to inform visitors whether their data will be recorded and who will access that database.  All confidential information such as email addresses is kept privately in the sites database and is only viewed by the author.  The only person who has access to the database is the author, in other words there are no third party individuals looking at confidential information.  The author only uses the statistics from that database for quantitative purposes.  This site undertakes to honor or exceed the legal requirements for medical/health information policy are as follows: United States, Canada, Mexico, South America, Australia, United Kingdom, Singapore, Philippines. Also, this website doesn’t use cookies. 

 

Principle 4. Justification of claims- The author must justify any claims regarding the effectiveness or non-effectiveness of any commercial product or treatment. The author isn’t selling any commercial products at this time.  When the author has commercial products on the site, then all information about the benefits or performance of a specific treatment, product will be given.

 

Principle 5. Disclosure of funding sources-the site must include a statement declaring its sources of funding.  The author has funded www.born-again-health-and-fitness.com on his own, without any external sources.

 

Principle 6. Advertising policy-all advertising should be identified with the word “Advertising”.  Currently, the authors website www.born-again-health-and-fitness.com doesn’t have any advertisements up at this point.  At some point the authors website will have advertisements in the form of banners. When this occurs the website will receive funding from those banners. The author will not be held responsible for any advertisement the user clicks on and then suffers a monetary loss.  The author will not allow any advertisements that depict any; pornographic, racial, violent,  or lewd activity.
